Kathi sheepishly admits that her initial draw to the field, at a very young age, was her admiration for the poise and smarts of Dr. Marlena Evans, the resident psychiatrist of Days of Our Lives (yes, the soap opera). This early interest blossomed into a true love for human services of all types, with specific interest in helping others heal and to feel a sense of meaning and belonging. As a result of Kathi’s early attraction to the field of human services, she attended Lehigh University as an undergraduate and then ultimately achieved her Master’s Degree at Hahnemann University.  Much of Kathi’s free time out of the office is spent with family life and parenting her teen daughter, as well as volunteering and providing leadership in multiple grass roots not-for-profit organizations. She also enjoys catching as many stage shows as possible, both locally and our neighboring cities of Philadelphia and New York.  Kathi’s dedication to helping others has resulted in a variety of special honors and awards.  She is especially proud to have received the Diakon Service from the Heart Award for her work in launching a major program initiative in Lehigh County. Kathi looks forward to the continued growth of New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, as our company responds to the changing landscape of behavioral health care and provides innovative leadership in supporting individuals to find and live out their sense of meaning and belonging in the larger community. Kathi serves as New Vitae’s Vice President of Quality, Safety and Compliance.

"There is team work and a collective mindset to assist individuals where they are at in their recoveries."
