Addiction and Co-Occurring Services

Located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery provides intensive counseling for adults with mental health, addiction and co-occurring disorders. We provide the structure and support that many find crucial to coping with the stress of life. Our services are customized through the use of three unique levels of care: Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Traditional Outpatient services.  Our collaborative approach provides integrated psychiatric services as well as individual and group therapy, family therapy, and addictions counseling/education to assist with achieving recovery and holistic health goals.

Services include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), relapse prevention, Motivational Interviewing, relaxation skill building, mindfulness, and assertive communication skills training, all offered through day and evening programming.  Medication Assisted Treatment, or MAT, is also available.

Service options can be personalized to help you meet your goals.   For those seeking a higher level of care, our day program is five days a week from 9 am to 1pm, Monday through Friday.  We also have evening hours.  Intensive Outpatient supports are also available to provide a range of flexible services designed to support your goals throughout the recovery process.

Our small group sizes and collaborative approach assist each participant with connecting to peers in the clinic as well as within the larger community.  We utilize self-help groups and encourage individuals to consistently attend these and all the other services identified in a personalized plan of care.  We use a lens of psycho-education that reinforces the tools needed to maintain lasting sobriety and emotional stability.

We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) as well as the Division of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).  We are also accredited by the Joint Commission.

Frequently asked questions:

What makes your program different?
We are a small program with an average client age of 35. We are staffed to support those with a variety of behavioral health and substance use needs. Our average group size is 8 to 10 participants.  Most participants utilize services for roughly six weeks (based on clinical needs), and develop daily schedules that work best in their routines.

Can I initiate services quickly?
We can complete an initial evaluation in 48 hours from your phone call.  We then begin treatment the following day.  We begin with an initial phone call to gather information. At that time, we set up an appointment with a therapist to conduct an assessment. This assessment will form the basis of developing your personalized plan of care that incorporates various individual and group exercises/assignments that assist with finding clues for lasting change.

Will I have access to psychiatric care?
Yes. New Vitae Wellness and Recovery integrates psychiatric care into the overall treatment inexperience. The psychiatric specialists are part of our team.

Will I need to maintain abstinence from drug and alcohol use before I start treatment?
Typically, yes; however, we will evaluate needs on a case-by-case basis.  We also accept individuals who are currently using Suboxone to manage cravings from opiate addiction.

How do other individuals respond to New Vitae Wellness and Recovery's services?
Individuals who are motivated and focused on achieving sobriety and/or emotional stability use our services to improve their lives and their relationships with others. They see a personal need and have a desire to heal. This makes for a much more cohesive program. We consistently receive top ratings from clients of our services.

What insurances are accepted to assist with payment for services?

We are currently able to accept Magellan/Medical Assistance, Aetna, Capital Blue Cross, Cigna, Personal Choice, Keystone East, and several others.
