New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Sponsors 2017's Rally in the Valley

May 30, 2017

Following the success of 2015's Unite to Face Addiction festival in Washington, D.C., participants recognized a need to raise awareness and offer support to those challenged by recovery from addiction.  Several leaders worked together in order to plan a similar local event that could highlight the challenges associated with addictive behaviors while educating the community regarding ways to help families and individuals impacted by addiction.

On May 20th, 2017, that plan became a reality with Rally in the Valley.  New Vitae Wellness and Recovery was one of the sponsors for the event, which brought together local entertainers, musicians, vendors, and recovery providers.  The day also featured several guest speakers, including Vance Johnson, a former NFL wide receiver and Outreach Coordinator at Futures of Palm Beach; John Shinholser, Anonymous People Film President and Co-Founder of McShin Foundation; and Elisha Coffey, Manager of ICAN at the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania.   The event, held on the grounds of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, offered an opportunity to share support for those utilizing recovery supports as well as their family members and friends.

New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is proud to offer addiction services for adults with behavioral health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders through our Emmaus-based services.  Our licensed programs provide individualized options with tracks that include behavioral health, co-occurring disorders, and substance dependency.  Through individual sessions, small group sizes, and a collaborative approach, we are proud to assist individuals with achieving and maintaining lasting sobriety.

We wish to commend and thank the organinzers of the event, who worked tirelessly for those experiencing the cycle of addiction.  We look forward to ensuring that the event occurs on a yearly basis.  Thank you to all those who attended!
