New Vitae Enjoyed the Holiday Season: Employee Awards

January 6, 2020

New Vitae Wellness and Recovery enjoyed celebrating the holiday season!  In addition to hosting parties at each site, the management team and the entire organization gathered to celebrate, build relationships, and share in the magic of the season!

During these celebrations, New Vitae announced the recipients of the Employee of the Year, Iris, and Pride awards across the company.  Employee of the Year awards were given to the following individuals in recognition of their dedication and support of residents and team members:

Mohamed Gasimelsid – Mount Trexler Manor
Samantha Perch – Administration
Karen Givens – Action Recovery Brain Injury Services
Patrick Hannon – Quakertown Residences
Pamela Martin – Recovery Center
Dorine Ross – Philadelphia Residential Treatment Facilities

Two additional awards were given that are especially meaningful to our employees.  The first, the Iris Award, named for the flower symbolizing behavioral health, was presented to Matthew Sabella.  Matthew is a mentor who assists residents at Mount Trexler Manor with developing independent living skills, identifying personal strengths, and offering valuable support throughout the recovery process.  He is consistently supportive of teammates and helps to assist new staff with learning documentation processes.  The Pride Award, presented to Robert Dromboski, M.Ed., celebrates innovation and ownership of one’s work.  Robert is a critical team member at our Philadelphia sites.  He assists with managing the day-to-day operations of these residential supports and connects with the Beck Institute representatives, ensuring quality recovery services across the organization.

Additional recognition was given to the following employees who won Resident Choice Awards, selected by the residents at each site for their service and support:

Matthew Sabella – Mount Trexler Manor
Kaitlan Hoffman – Pathways Apartment Program
Patrick Hannon – Quakertown House
Patrick Scaliti – Action Recovery Brain Injury Services
Sherrice Jones and Diana Davis-Harvey – Philadelphia Residential Treatment Facilities

Employees also celebrated the holidays with their teammates at each site.  From potluck lunches to Secret Santa and White Elephant gifts, we had a wonderful chance to enjoy each other’s company and connect with our colleagues during a fantastic time of the year!

From all of us at New Vitae Wellness and Recovery: we hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to a bright and happy 2020!

"As a staff member, I have learned a lot about mental health and I have witnessed many residents transform from a place of fear and paranoia to becoming outgoing, secure, content and able to hold a job in the community and much more.”
