New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Participates in 2017 Quakertown Arts Alive

May 26, 2017

On Saturday, May 20th, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery staff and residents enjoyed participating in Quakertown Arts Alive.  The event is an annual celebration of local vendors, entertainers, crafters, and businesses.

Our booth focused on the impact of the arts in behavioral health care.  Having the opportunity to express emotion in non-verbal ways offers people, especially those with behavioral health diagnoses, an outlet for challenging feelings.  Our services include a variety of arts-related supports, including music therapy, woodworking, and art therapy.  During the event, we gave passers-by the opportunity to participate in a brief but fun art project that generated lots of laughs and smiles!

Please enjoy some of our photos from the event.  We can't wait for next May's Arts Alive!
